  Do You Know Your Blood Type?

  with all the information we have nowadays, out of sheer curiousity, do any of you know your blood type?

  for some, i know the blood-issue is a touchy subject, but it's interesting to know it.

  you'd be surprised especially when the case of an rh-negative mother may give birth to an rh-positive child.

  i just had an interview with a reporter that wants to do an article in the houston chronicle on our ex-jw meet up group www.exjw.meetup.com ==== she asked me some questions about my experience & the group & said she wants to do an article about us and take some photos at our next meet - up.

  If You Weren't A Witness, What Would You Be Today?

  many of us are or were witnesses because we were born into the religion.

  others became witnesses because they really thought it was the truth.

  so many wish that they never had a jehovah's witness come to their door or their parents' door.

  I wouldn't have a religion I think. My mother didn't have any religious affiliation prior to the witnesses and would have raised me based on her own morals and not some damned religion.

  I would also have gone to college right out of high school and I'd be a Veterinarian now.

  Where do I go for support???

  i would love some support since i am scared and confused, but i don't know where to turn.

  my husband and i are both having our eyes opened wide after years of doubts.

  we have finally read the "apostate literature" over the past few weeks and have checked and rechecked their sources.

  You've come to the right place. Welcome! There are a lot of 'wings' here. I've only been out for 10 months myself but some of these folks have been out for decades! You will get a LOT of support. Be prepared for tough times ahead....but fret not, it is WELL worth it!

  well all i wanted to tell you that i am still very much happily in love with my girlfriend.

  in fact she just found out she got a job and will be moving down with me in just a few weeks.

  Congrats!! Next month will be the one year anniversary for my girlfriend and me. We were forced to move in together after dating for only 3 weeks but it has all been well worth it! I am so happy for you.

  What Double Standards Do JW's Practice?

  one double standard that always got to me was how a body of elders would talk about how a brother needed to "qualify" for some privilege by being a good example for weekend service and yet a number of elders would hardly ever go out in field service at all!

  or how they would use 2 hours to literally gossip about everyone in the congregation, and then give a local needs talk on the need of not talking about the brothers and minding our own business.........what double standards got to you?

  The one that pissed me off the most is that they always tell their householders that they need to examine their religion to see if it is right....so come to the Kingdumb Hell. But we were never allowed to accept an invitation to their churches because THAT was interfaith.
